Local shops and businesses at the North End of Cowdenbeath, decorated for the main parade on 22nd June, 2002. A number of awards and competitions were judged. Best dressed shop window - 1st Tom Courts Butcher, 2nd Cancer UK Shop; 3rd Thomas Cook Travel Agent. Best Frontage - 1st Barnardos; 2nd The Bingo; 3rd The Car Store.

Some of the floats and marchers that braved the rain to parade 2 miles from Woodend Industrial Estate, through the heart of the town to the High School playing fields for an afternoon of fun. A number of awards and competitions were judged. Best Floats were judged in two categories. Category 1: 1st After School Club; 2nd Salvation Army Group, Cowdenbeath Primary; 3rd Baptist Church Campaigners. Category 2: 1st MAD Group; 2nd Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre; 3rd JAG. Special Awards: Broad Street Junior Youth Club, Crossgates Brownies, Broad Street Toddlers, Rascals Nursery, Broad Street BC and the Cowdenbeath Environmental Group.
